A range of certified transportation means (launch boats, buses, cars) and highly skilled drivers exclusively employed by Redmar are available to our customers.

Garbage, sludge, and slop removal are also included in the rendered services to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.

In accordance with local regulations and rules, only a few certified/approved contractors can arrange offshore waste disposal to high standards. FYG, each port has its own segregation area and “incinerator” for waste disposal. Under the control and supervision of the port authority, sludge can be removed by barges.

Garbage skips are not available, but garbage can be collected either by truck (in ports) or by motorboat barge (at sea). Every time waste is disposed of, a MARPOL or final disposal certificate is to be provided.

Lithium batteries, chemicals and radioactive substances cannot be disposed of in the inner harbor’s garbage. Instead, they must be segregated before collection.

Redmar can handle your air/sea freight shipments to and from Egypt. We handle everything from packing list preparation to commercial invoices, securing highly competitive freights, custom clearance and delivery.

Timeframe for the clearance of spare parts and equipment inbound and outbound:

∙48 hours for air freight shipments in both seaports and airports.
∙72 hours for sea freight shipments.
∙About 5 days for land freight shipments.

Redmar procures 1 million tons of bunker annually to supply vessels calling Egyptian ports or transiting through the Canal. In addition to securing competitive rates and on-spec quality, we have excellent relationships with physical suppliers.

For bunkering, a pre-booking is required at least 1-2 weeks before the vessel arrives in any Egyptian port.

MGO (low sulfur) is available in Port Said, Suez and Alexandria.
IFO180 CST is available in Port Said, Suez and Alexandria.
IFO380 CST is available in Port Said, Suez and Alexandria.

It is advised to secure fuel two weeks before delivery to take advantage of the daily fluctuations in fuel prices.
